An electric dirt bike charger has two numbers that matter: voltage (which must match your battery pack exactly) and amperage (which, combined with your battery's amp-hour capacity, determines how long a full charge actually takes). Get the voltage wrong and a charger simply won't work safely with your pack — get the amperage right and you can cut charge time dramatically over a standard charger.
Voltage Has to Match, No Exceptions
Every charger in our Fast Chargers range is sold matched to a specific voltage class — 36V, 48V, 60V or 72V — because a mismatched charger can damage a battery pack or fail to charge it at all. Always check your bike or battery's rated voltage before ordering a replacement or spare charger.
Amperage Is What Speeds Things Up
A standard charger might supply 5-8 amps; a genuine fast charger in the 15-20A range can cut charge time by more than half. As a rough guide, charge time (hours) is approximately battery amp-hours divided by charger amps — a 40Ah pack on a 20A fast charger charges in roughly two hours, versus 5-6 hours on a slower charger.
