What Does an Electric Dirt Bike Actually Cost in Australia?

Real pricing across our range — from $549 balance bikes to $22,990 road-legal supermotos — and what actually drives the difference.

What Does an Electric Dirt Bike Actually Cost in Australia?

Electric dirt bike pricing in Australia spans a wide range because "electric dirt bike" covers everything from a toddler's first balance bike to a road-registerable 84V full-size motocross machine. Across our own range, prices run from $549 for an entry-level balance bike to $22,990 for a flagship road-legal supermoto — the number that matters is the price within your category, not the headline range.

Balance & Mini Bikes: $549 – $3,790

Entry-level balance and mini bikes for kids aged roughly 3 to 9 make up the most affordable tier in our range. Browse Balance & Mini Bikes to compare current models by seat height, weight and governed top speed.

Junior Trials & Youth: $2,199 – $8,690

Stepping up to a youth-specific dirt bike with more power and a taller frame moves into this band — see Junior Trials & Youth Dirt Bikes for the full lineup.

Trail & Mid-Weight Enduro: $5,500 – $9,990

Adult trail and enduro machines built for singletrack and bush riding sit in this range — browse Trail & Mid-Weight Enduro.

Full-Size Motocross: $8,490 – $20,490

Competition-spec full-size motocross bikes, matching or exceeding 450cc petrol four-strokes, occupy our highest-power tier — see Full-Size Motocross.

Road-Legal (ADR) Models: $7,500 – $22,990

Models built and equipped for road registration — lights, indicators, mirrors, a compliant VIN — carry the added cost of that hardware, spanning our widest price band. See ADR Road-Legal Dirt Bikes.

Utility & Farm Bikes: $6,999 – $9,490

Silent, heavy-duty workhorses for cattle stations and paddock work sit in a fairly tight band — see Utility & Farm E-Bikes.

What Actually Drives the Price Difference

Three things move the number more than anything else: battery capacity (a bigger kWh pack costs more and delivers more range), peak power output (a 72V+ motocross powertrain costs more to build than a 36V junior motor), and equipment level (road-legal hardware, premium suspension components, and brand all add cost on top of the base platform).

Ways to Reduce Your Purchase Price

Pay with Bitcoin or Tether for an automatic 10% instant discount at checkout, or spread the cost with Pay in 4 — four equal fortnightly instalments at 0% interest. Model your own numbers on our Finance Calculator. Buying a part, battery, charger or gear item in the same order as a bike also gets that accessory item an automatic 5% discount.

Ongoing Costs After Purchase

Electric dirt bikes carry meaningfully lower running costs than petrol equivalents — no oil changes, no spark plugs, no fuel, and a full charge typically costs a few dollars in electricity. Every full-size model we sell also carries a 2-Year Australian Factory Warranty on the frame, motor, controller and battery.
